Ordering Stuff and Checking Status

How do I order on our Site?
Browse the site and add stuff to the Shopping Cart! If you have not signed-up for a FiberWild.com account, you will be asked to register when you go to Checkout. If you leave the site without signing up for an account, the cart (sadly) will be emptied.

If you have a FiberWild.com account, and put some items in the cart as a guest, it will (happily) merge with your personal Shopping Cart's contents when you log in.

Also, you can always order over the phone! Call the store at 888-848-KNIT (5648) or 815-777-3550 and we will be glad to answer questions about our patterns, projects, yarn, our kittens, you name it, we are glad to help.

Do you charge sales tax?
Items shipped to Illinois addresses, or picked up at the store, pay 8.25% sales tax. Orders shipped outside of Illinois are not charged sales tax. Shipping costs are not taxed.

Do you accept international orders?
Yes! Canada, Europe, Australia ... we ship everywhere! Please check our Help page on Shipping - International and Canada for details.

I got a backorder Warning! message in the Shopping Cart! How does this work?
If you get a nasty looking red box message that says...

We're sorry ... for items marked with “Warning!”, you have ordered more quantity than we currently have in stock! You can still order more items than we currently have available ... we will contact you with specifics on your backorder.

You are welcome to order more quantity than we have on hand. You are charged for your entire order, including backordered items. We will check with our suppliers to get your backordered items and send you an email with the details. Sometimes it makes sense to hold your entire order to ensure that dyelots match ... or occasionally items may be discontinued. If for some reason we cannot fullfill your entire order, we will refund your balance. You are not charged additional shipping on your backordered items.

I have stuff in the Shopping Cart ... how do I Checkout?
Our site has a simple three step Checkout process ... first, choose your shipping options, select your payment method, and then review and confirm your order! If all you have added to your cart are electronic downloads (patterns), or other electronic products, you will skip the Shipping Options step!

Can I ship to somewhere besides my billing address?
Yes. We ship just about anywhere ... login, select My Account and use your Address Book to save frequently used “Ship To” addresses. Simply select the “Change your Address” button on the Checkout Step 1 of 3 - Delivery Address and Options page. This will take you to your Address Book entries, and then choose from your address book entries to select a different “Ship To” address. Unfortunately, for international orders placed with a credit card, we only ship to the billing address of the credit card.

How do I add entries into my Address Book?
Once you are logged-in, select My Account, and then click View or change entries in my address book. In addition to your primary Address, which is used as the default shipping and billing address, you can add a maximum of 4 address book entries.

How do I use my Discount Coupon?
Discount Coupons are applied during the checkout process, on the Payment Information page, in the area labeled "Discount Coupons". Visit our Help page on Discount Coupons for more information!

How do I use my Gift Certificate?
Gift Certificates are applied during the checkout process, on the Payment Information page, in the area labeled "Gift Certificates". Visit our Help page on Gift Certificates for more information!

What are my Payment Options?
Visit our Help page on Payment Options for more information! Remember, if you intend to pay with a credit card, your “Bill To” address must match your credit card billing address.

How will I know the status of my order?
You will receive an e-mail order confirmation which includes the shipping method and other details of your purchase. You will receive update emails as your order is processed. You can also login to your account, click on My Account and View your order history to check the status of your orders. Otherwise, you can always Contact Us or call the store ... at 1-888-848-KNIT, and we'll gladly check the status of your order.
