Barefoot 'n Bordeaux Shawlette …
featuring Mountain Colors Bearfoot yarn
It's a lovely warm afternoon, perfect for a little “me-time”. Supplies: blanket, bottle of wine, glass, and project bag. Kick off your shoes to feel new spring grass between your toes, and get knitting!

This shawlette features a simple-to-knit repeating filigree lace pattern on the body and is visually interesting. It is edged with a strong lacey chevron detail which frames the piece gorgeously!
The pattern is fairly quick to memorize and is a tempting project for knitters who don't usually knit lace.
One skein of Bearfoot yarn from Mountain Colors is all you'll need to make this light-weight shawlette that's still remarkably warm.

I'm always intrigued by the choices some mills make in adding more durable fibers to wool to provide strength to their yarns. That is why you'll frequently see 25 – 35% nylon in sock yarns. It's tough. Even as the wool wears away, the nylon remains.
Mountain Colors replaces some of the synthetic material you'd expect with a durable natural fiber: mohair. Known as a fluffy fiber, mohair is suprisingly tough when spun into yarns, and dyes beautifully.
