Ever since making Rinde, I have been in love with textured single loop cowls. Warm yet not bulky, they snug into your coat without gaping, and never give you that ‘turtleneck choke-hold’ feel!
The Winter Silk Cowl comes in two lengths, for those knitters who share my love for single cowl snuggliness, as well as those of you who prefer the double-wrapped infinity look.
This cowl is worked in the round using a deep, cushy stitch pattern that looks like it consists of two distinct layers of fabric. I-cord cast on and bind off complete an elegant, finished look.

Circular Perspectives infinity scarf / cowl showcases the new Mountain Colors Perspectives yarn kit that includes 5 gradient colors of Crazyfoot yarn. To get maximum enjoyment from Mountain Colors Perspectives yarn, I’ve designed this pattern to use up almost every bit of all 5 mini-skein colors.

The stitch pattern is a simple, pleasingly reversible, lace to knit in the round. You can wear your creation as a single casually looped long scarf, or double-looped as a snugly cowl.

Every knitter knows the dilemma. There before you in your favorite local yarn shop are shelves of glorious hand-painted yarns, stunningly beautiful, each and every one. You covet them all. You will never be able to choose just one! Fear not, Coat of Many Colors invites you to indulge, choose a range of your favorites and then enjoy working them together in ever-changing waves of color and intensity. Or perhaps you’ve already treated yourself to a skein here, a skein there and are now wondering what to do with all those odd lots. The blending approach in a Coat of Many Colors offers a solution....

This is the 4th sock in my eBook, CAT’S SWEET TOMATO HEEL SOCKS, and it introduces the Padded Sweet Tomato Heel for the first time.

A Padded Sweet Tomato Heel curves the traditionally straight columns of heel stitch into a beautiful shell-like cup. I suggest first trying one of the other patterns in this collection in order to appreciate the simplicity of the original Sweet Tomato Heel method. Then, adding columns of slipped stitches to create the Padded Heel will seem natural.

I am always on the look-out for really great sock yarn. It has to be springy (to produce elastic fabric and be ergonomically kind to the knitter), have plenty of twist and three...

Tucked within the folds of this velvety soft jacket lie narrow bands of jewel toned, hand painted cashmere. Their opulence is rivaled by the deep, resonant plum color that takes center stage. Not to be outdone, the jewel tones make a concluding statement in the tufts that adorn the back of the slender collar.

Semi-fitted, sleekly tapered and mid-length when worn in the usual manner, this design can also be worn upside down and fastened to create a waist length jacket with a gently gathered shawl collar of dramatic proportion. Plum Perfect is perfectly luscious either way.

This lovely generously sized shawl can be knit either as a triangle or as a rectangle. The charts and written instructions are designed to present one panel of lace, with the option to knit a triangle by repeating each panel twice, or a square by repeating each panel 4 times. Because the start is a little tricky, the first two charts (A and B) are shown for the triangle and then for the square. After those charts have established your version of the shawl, the remaining charts (C-F) are given for both, with instructions on using the written instructions or charts to make a triangle or...

The main stitch area of graceful lacy waves is surrounded by a knit-as-you-go elegant ribbed openwork border.

Jackie’s notes:

- This is one of my favorite easy lace scarves to knit. The pattern is easily memorized, and it drapes so well in a wide range of yarn weights and fibers.

- Because of the wavy structure of the stitch pattern, the Crest of the Waves Scarf pattern is lovely worked in variegated yarns,...

The serpentine lace stitch has only three different patterned rows, so the rhythm is quickly learned and enjoyed.

To knit the scarf, you merely cast on for one side of the scarf, then work the easily memorized pattern in long rows. Before you know it, you’ve knit across the scarf and are ready to bind off for the other side

Create a masterpiece in color and texture to wrap your body in style and comfort. Palette of Colors Shrug features an interplay of tonal harmony across coordinated colorways of heavier textured yarn and smooth fine yarn.

A heavier nubby yarn frames disks of airy laceweight yarn, which in turn surround large eyelets of space and light.

The main body of the shrug is knitted first as a widthwise rectangle, with lower and upper edges softly scalloped and the sides at the arm edges slightly tapered with short rows.

The lace rib stitch cuffs are picked up and worked circularly beginning at the side selvedges of the main body, thus resulting in a no-sew “when you are done, you...

The cable-ribbed lace pattern softens the edges in beautifully scultped outlines. A bonus is that the pattern is pleasingly reversible, giving you the freedom to wear this shawl in a multitude of ways that take advantage of the long, slender tails for tying or flipping.
