The stunning Glacier National Park, in Montana's Rocky Mountains, has everything from glacier-carved peaks, valleys and remnant glaciers to coniferous forests and alpine tundras ... experience the amazing mountain views!

Logan Pass, on the continental divide, is the highest point on the Going-to-the-Sun Road and provides great views of wildlife and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world! The gals at Mountain Colors, have this gorgeous park in the backyard and were kind enough to dye another lovely custom colorway called "Glacier" in their very popular Twizzlefoot yarn!

Thank you to the ladies at Mountain Colors Yarn for snapping some terrific photos on their recent visit to the Glacier National Park!

Mountain Colors Twizzlefoot

From the wonderful folks at Mountain Colors, Twizzlefoot is a sock-weight version of their popular worsted-weight Twizzle. The yarn takes is name from the lovely barber-pole effect that results from one ply in the yarn being entirely silk.

The silk takes dye differently than the wool it's plied with ... and the resulting fabric has a vaguely tweedy look. Your knitting will also have more drape than a basic wool-nylon blend sock yarn.

Add Mountain Colors' rich, super-saturated dyeing and Twizzlefoot has become a classic sock yarn!!
