"Behind the Scenes" Cowl

Progressively during the KAL

Michelle's knit alongs (KALs) are mystery knit alongs. So there are no preliminary photos ... all we know is that the finished cowl is one size about 8 1/2" wide by 47" long and will feature a cable.  If history has teaches us anything ... this design will be amazing!

All of the techniques Michelle uses will be supported by her video tutorials and she answers questions daily on her website and Ravelry group. Michelle's instructions, tutorials and videos have made her KALs extremely popular ... think of her KAL as an online class, worth far more than the price of admission — which is, of course, Free!!

You can also connect, ask questions, share photos, and get help via the Knit Purl Hunter KAL Ravelry group. You're also encouraged to share progress photos to the FiberWild and Friends group on Ravelry.

The KAL is FREE and Skacel is sponsoring a drawing for one grand prize and two second place prizes. For more information on prizes and how to enter visit SkacelKnitting.com.

Note: After Nov. 15 the pattern will not be free on KnitPurlHunter.com!
It will be available for $6.00 as a Ravelry ePattern.

Need an extra ball? ... you will need some yarn to swatch ... maybe you are just a “tight” knitter? Running out of yarn can be a real pain.  Getting more yarn, in your color, with the same dyelot can be impossible! Purchase an “insurance” ball. We're glad to accept returns on full, unused balls of yarn!

Summertime Flip Floppers

by Katie Rempe

The Summertime Flip Flopper socks are knit ‘toe’ up ... even though there is no toe! If you prefer tighter ribbing, use one needle size smaller in those areas. These socks can be worked two-at-a-time with Magic Loop or two circular needles. Just note that you will either need to split the solid color hank into two balls, or pull from the inside and outside of a caked yarn.

Katie will also include notes if you would like to use DPNs. We can't wait to see all the fun color combos for these summer socks!

Finished Sizes

6.5" approx foot circumference (stretches to 10" around), 7" from foot ribbing to heel, and 8.25" from heel to cuff

CoBaSi and CoBaSi Multi - 20% Off!

HiKoo's "CoBaSi" yarn is a cotton, bamboo, and silk blend that also has a generous amount of elastic. If you have been looking for a wool-free sock yarn, look no further! This soft yarn will not irritate or overheat, and it is machine washable. Use it to create cute but hardy baby items or add some fun colorwork to your summer knitting!

Katie recommends picking a solid color that does not appear in the multi color to retain a clean look. We put together 6 of our favorite combos below, but there are lots of other options to choose from ... call if we can help!
