Best of Knit Purl Hunter Designs

Michelle "Knit Purl" Hunter

A few years ago, Michelle pioneered the idea of an online knit-along that knitters around the world could participate in ... supported by the Ravelry community, video instruction and terrific patterns.  The Progressive Needles Knit Along has set the standard for these online gatherings.

A quote from her book ... "I have always considered myself the luckiest person alive because I have a career that combines my two passions - knitting and teaching.  I hope my passion brings success to your knitting and a thirst to broaden your knowledge.  We have lots of fun ahead of us!"

Here at FiberWild, we feel honored to have supported Michelle over the last few years and hope you will enjoy her new book ... and making a project or two!

Oh, ... we almost forgot to tell you about the Pillow!

Celebrating 25 Years of Mountain Color Yarns ...
Revisit a favorite project or discover a design you missed!

For the last 25 years, the creative team at Mountain Colors Yarn has brought us beautiful fiber in colors inspired by the Rocky Mountain West! Diana and Leslie each have a unique color sense.  By combining their individual aesthetics they are continually introducing amazing new colorways that sparks creativity in both knitters and crocheters.

We are proud to have supported Mountain Colors in our LYS since we opened in Galena, Illinois in May of 2004. Watching them add to their color and yarn lines has been a continual source of inspiration for many of Amy's designs.

Creating new colors are another way we've enjoyed working with Mountain Colors over the years. To date we offer 15 FiberWild custom colors in 10 yarns, most of which have patterns Amy specifically designed to show off their gorgeous hues! Below is a sampling of Amy's "best of" designs worked in Mountain Colors yarns. We hope you will revisit a favorite project or discover a design or color you missed!

Gingerbread
Cowl

by Amy Loberg

Pattern FREE with purchase of Sueno Yarn

The Gingerbread Cowl is knit in the round with a four row repeat that uses only one color per round. Slip stitches and simple cables create the patterning on the outside of the cowl which is then finished on the inside with stockinette stitch. A double layer of fabric is created by folding the piece over and seaming the cast on edge to bound off edge with a mattress stitch. You'll love wearing this sturdy, and warm cowl all winter long!
