If you like Madelinetosh's yarns you will absolutely love Dream's new "Jilly" and "Jilly Lace" yarns! When the ladies from Dream visited and showed us their new yarns, we fell in love. Just like the Tosh Merino Light, Jilly is a wonderfully soft single-ply, fingering weight yarn available in 48 awesome colors. The Jilly Lace is also a soft single ply, but in a lace weight ... compare to the Tosh Prairie. Did I say available? ... Yes! No need to hunt around trying to find the Tosh ... we have the Jilly or Jilly Lace in-stock and ready to ship!

Dream in Color What to knit? I had to “dream-up” a couple of great patterns to show off the “dreamy” colors! (Okay, no more of the “dream” thing). I decided that a couple of shawl patterns would be perfect for spring. I am also working on two single-skein projects ... a cute beret and an easy textured cowl pattern ... maybe a pair of socks will be next on my needles!

The Linden Street Shawl
This off-center triangular shawl features a delicate linden leaf edging.

Bonus: The pattern instructions are provided in both chart and written format! The finished size is 70” along top edge, 16” top-to-bottom. I knit it in the Jilly “Plenty” color, you will need 2 skeins. You will also need both a set of US 5 and US 6 32” circulars (or longer). For the intermediate knitter.

Dream in Color Jilly Yarn
The Lily Pond Shawl This beautiful design features lovely lily motifs and a soft, graceful curved edge. Wear it as a scarf or a shawl!

The finished size is 67” along top edge, 14” top to bottom. You will need 2 skeins of the Jilly ... I used the “Morning Glory” color. You will need both a US 5 and US 6 40” (or longer) circular needles. Again, for the intermediate knitter.

For the adventurous, knit either shawl in the Jilly Lace! You will need to drop down two needle sizes ... use a US 3 instead of the US 5, and a US 4 instead of the US 6. The shawls will be a little smaller, but wonderful!
